It’s never too early to speculate, is it? Even though the Ultima Online Ninth Anniversary Collection is still being finalized (as of September, 2006), it’s interesting to think about the anniversary next year, which will be a major milestone.

Our speculations:
- Contain UO: Kingdom Reborn (it makes sense to try and get as many people as possibly on the UO:KR client, regardless of the policies of Anniversary editions of the past).
- Whichever of these isn’t the new player race(s) in UO:KR will be a player race with the 10th Anniversary: Orcs, Gargoyles, Ophidians.
- Probably two editions, similar to the UO launch, and to the Ultima IX releases.
- An appearance by Lord British.
- Contain all offline Ultima games I - IX, in some kind of playable format.

Both Editions:
- A real cloth map (perhaps of the “updated” Ultima world that has came about with UO).
- A lithograph of the Hilderbrandt brother famous Ultima Online artwork (this has featured prominently in other anniversary releases).
- Tokens for all previous anniversary items.
- Some kind of comic book.
- Some kind of “History of UO” booklet.
- Perhaps a CD with all previous offline Ultima games
- Advanced Character Token
- One Shard Transfer Token
- Interviews with past and present dev team members

High-End/Pre-Order:
- An metal ankh or some other kind of metal UO badge.
- Perhaps some kind of autographed item (or the box itself) from the current developers.

- UOForums - donjn - August 11, 2006 - Mentions a 2D graphics upgrade :woop: before it was announced, similar to our predictions (even if our’s was for what ended up being UO:KR, donjn definitely deserves credit as well for having faith/being omnipotent that some kind of upgrade was coming).
