House Builder (9th Anniversary Collection, etc.)

Monday, October 16th, 2006

An updated House Builder (UOForums.com) has been released. House Builder is an offline house utility (approved by EA), that utilizes the graphics from Ultima Online to allow you to build multi-story structures, so you can test out your various dream homes, before actually going in the game and building them. Keep in mind this is a completly offline tool - it has nothing to do with anything you do in-game, however it can save you valuable time (especially if you are on dial-up) as it can allow you to try out every house tile available to you (and then some), including the new 9th Anniversary Collection tiles. It allows you to build any size, up to 18×18, as well as making available all floors plus the roof.

Thread with screenshots, installation information, etc.

The main thing, this now works properly with the 9th Anniversary Collection tiles (which you can view in house form here and here).

Sosarian Voices Returns, Plus Show #30

Monday, September 25th, 2006

Sosarian Voices has returned.

This is actually their welcome back message from a few weeks ago:

Welcome back! Its been quite a while since SV was active and Lucid and I are glad to be back. We will be doing a monthly show to start out but with a twist. The first part of the show will be in the traditional SV format and the last half will be UO show, a story if you will . We are going to try and have guest readers from time to time as well as continue to do interviews with people from around the UO community.

They just released their 30th Podcast/show (and will be making their other shows available at some point in the near future).

Thanks to Dirk_LS for emailing us this.

The Inu Wiki moved to InuWiki.com

Saturday, September 23rd, 2006

Just an FYI, The Inu Wiki has seen so much traffic that they moved it to its own host, now located at www.InuWiki.com. The original site at BritanniaCartel.com will not be updated.

From the site owner, in a post on Stratics:

Yes, due to the tremendous amount of people viewing the wiki I needed to change hosts. Since it was included I also got a new domain name, http://www.inuwiki.com

Now to phase it so everyone will be getting the most current information, I will be putting links at the top of each page of the old site telling everyone of the move. That way if you have any individual page inside the wiki bookmarked it will let you know we’ve moved.

I will not be updating the old site, so the content will not be up to date, but soon I will have each link redirect to the new site, so people that don’t make new bookmarks will still get to the current information.

If there is any other way anyone can think to make for a smooth transition post in this thread, PM me, or ICQ me @8943010.

Also, as always, suggestions are more than welcome! Let me know what you’d like to see added or modified.

Sosarian Tales is Alive Once More!

Thursday, September 21st, 2006

Sosarian Tales is being updated once more.

Eggman’s post this morning:

First of all let me start off by saying “Thanx for being patient”. I’m glad to say I’ll be adding some new content to the site again and I’ll also be making some changes and tweaks as things roll along in stages.

What is Sosarian Tales?

Welcome to Sosarian Tales, a selection of comedy cartoons drawn by me ‘The Eggman’. All the cartoons you’ll see on the site are based around the fantasy world of Sosaria, home to the ever popular, massive multiplayer online role playing game Ultima Online. Most characters featured are fictional, but with concent are occasional appearances from actual ingame characters. Any other similarities are purely coinsidental and unintentional. I hope you enjoy everything you see and please take time to sign the guest book.

House Builder 13E Released

Tuesday, September 12th, 2006

House Builder 13E has been released (UOForums.com). House Builder is an offline house utility, that utilizes the graphics from Ultima Online to allow you to build multi-story structures, so you can test out your various dream homes, before actually going in the game and building them. Keep in mind this is a completly offline tool - it has nothing to do with anything you do in-game, however it can save you valuable time (especially if you are on dial-up) as it can allow you to try out every house tile available to you (and then some). It allows you to do any size plot, up to 18×18, as well as all floors plus the roof.

What’s Updated:

- Went thru and redid the front end graphics, added all the UO graphics into the Toolbox.xml.
- New version works with the latest UO.
- Added the new Ice and Dark graphic’s in.
- Redid the whole Toolbox.xml itself. Everything is now in easy to find areas. (No more hunting thru different areas for Walls. They are now in one are.)

If you already have a previous version, according to Kurgan, all you need to do is download this and put the files into your other House Builder folder. Have them over right anything there.

More on Rifts, Blackrock, and Inu

Sunday, September 10th, 2006

Tying into our earlier story about the strange rifts appearing across Sosaria, the Inu Wiki has received several updates over the past 24 hours covering these strange events.

Among some interesting information on the Inu page:

The eternal soulless is coming! Beware his truths! Heed his lies!

Bleak portals rip out eyes apart! Firmament drains through them as if an hourglass!

The blackrock will only bring black times! Rid this world of it! Else the world will be rid of us!

A shattering! Can you shatter the sundered?

As well as Selcius the Astronomer’s page

….Ahh, an ancient rift. Appears once a century….

…Fascinating! I believe we have discovered an as of yet uncharted rift!

Ahh you’ve seen it? The new rift? It is exciting and terrifying at the same time!

Truly terrifying. You have no idea what could be on the other side of that rift.

Very interesting…be sure and check out the Inu Wiki for further study (or consult Selcius yourself!).
